![]() ![]() I have never pushed challenges before so I have no idea if this is a realistic aspiration, but I'm going to give it my best. I'm really hoping to make it to 36 challenges so I can get the epic albino monkey. I have made and remade these tree endless times over the last week, but if anybody has idea for improvements I would be happy to consider them. My current skill tree is setup for level 90 and has easy nodes to pickup if I find myself pushing higher. I don't think that this is the most powerful option, but I do feel as though it is the best balanced option. This may change with the upcoming announcements (please no Chaos nerfarino), but I really like the way that the defensive stats from the Ascendancy class layer and provide charge generation. I haven't made up my mind yet, but currently I am planning on starting my Prophecy journey with a Duelist Gladiator. I play solo 90% of the time so I have had little interest/time to test different group setups.įor the upcoming Prophecy event I am currently considering Witch, Shadow, Ranger, and Duelist. It is very possible that there is a way around this that I am missing. Because of this you do not (reliably) get the dramatic waves of explosions that you do when clearing a crowded map solo. The explosion effect on death is based on the monsters health, but this doesn't take into account the additional life pool that is added when more players join your instance. It should be said that in my experience, Obliteration is best as a solo build. This led me to consider focusing my ascendancy class choice on a more defensive option rather than stacking more damage. I did however feel a bit squishy, mostly to monsters that use skills like Flicker Strike or Leap Slam, where they can get up close in a hurry and deal large amounts of spike damage. The grind was a little rough getting through Cruel and Merc, but I really shouldn't have switched over to KB until later. "Reflecting" on my experience and thinking about how I want to approach this build in Prophecy, I realized that I never felt like I was lacking damage once I got to Merc Lake. Ultimately I died "testing" a reflect map and ripped to the first pack. Note that this is "less prone" and not "immune to". This build frequently off screens entire packs and due to most of the damage coming from Chaos, it is less prone to reflect instagibs then other KB builds I have tried. Using Kinetic Blast as your primary skill and frost wall for boss kills means that you can keep your distance while dealing damage. The large AOE Chaos explosions are based on enemy health so the damage naturally scales with monster level. The build has a number of built in advantages that make it fun and (reasonably) safe. I bought both of my wands for 1 alch each and ran around in whatever gear I could scrounge and had no problems jumping into mid tier maps. I ran Obliterator in the Perandus Hardcore Flashback league and had a blast on essentially no budget. For those not familiar with the weapon I suggest you check out Dela and Angry AA's videos for a introduction. I've been collecting my thoughts recently about the Unique Demon's Horn Obliteration. You should consider it when planning builds for Prophecy.
